Intraday Stock Trading

European markets, which opened after the Indian market were trading on a negative note. Key benchmark indices like – CAC 40 was trading lower by 1.21% at 4,045.66, FTSE 100 declined by 0.56% at 5,986.32 and in Frankfurt, DAX index was trading down by 0.69% at 7,289.86.

The BSE Bankex was at 11,842.90 up by 400.57 points or by (3.50%). The main gainers were Yes Bk (6.22%), Fed Bk (5.54%), Axis Bk (4.82%), PNB (4.67%) and ICICI Bk (4.17%).

The BSE Auto was at 8,490.82 up by 211.85 points or by (2.56%). The main gainers were Apollo Tyres (6.70%), Tata Motors (3.79%), Bajaj Auto (3.54%) Ashok Leyland (3.28%) and Amtek Auto (2.77%).

On the corporate front, share of Edserv Softsystems Ltd jumped 6.76% at Rs 122.40 following reports that net profits of the company surged 104.61% to Rs 11.54 crore in Q3 Dec’10 on y-o-y basis.
